Church League Tourney Complete

It took two games, but the championship of the 2024 RC Church League Softball Tournament has been determined.

Church of the Nazarene, which suffered its only loss of the season in the semifinal round of the tournament last week, 22-21 to the Mission, advanced to the championship game, a rematch with The Mission.

Earlier in the season, the Nazarenes beat The Mission 16-2. In game one Tuesday night, the Nazarenes also go the win, 7-2, forcing another game to determine the championship.

In the second game of the night, The Mission was able to pull out the win, 9-5, securing the tournament championship. Church of the Nazarene, undefeated in the regular season, places second. Third place in the tourney went to St. Mary’s.
